Student Experience: Uniting the Geosciences and Spatial Analytics
Cole Heap, a geologist at Aera Energy with a decade of experience in the geosciences, recognized the benefits of approaching projects and challenges with a spatial mindset. This realization led him to complete the online M.S. in Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIST) at the University of Southern California. The program provides coursework focused on acquiring, managing, analyzing, and sharing geospatial data, offering expertise useful for mapping the earth’s surface and various other applications.
