Perforce Software has officially announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire Delphix, a leading provider of enterprise data management solutions.

In a blog post on the company’s website, Jim Cassens, CEO of Perforce Software, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “Data plays a crucial role in today’s enterprise operations and is essential for successful software development. However, accessing and managing that data can be extremely challenging. Delphix changes the game by offering on-demand, easy access to data quickly and securely. The platform protects and masks customer data, allowing teams to work with the right data in a secure and efficient manner, enabling them to focus on creating exceptional software.”

The Delphix platform virtualizes data, leading to reduced storage footprints, which has positive impacts on sustainability and operational costs. It is also compatible with a wide range of customer environments, including mainframes, Oracle databases, ERP applications, multi-cloud, and containerized environments.

“The acquisition of Delphix reflects our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our customers. This solution perfectly aligns with our goal of helping customers innovate quickly and automate their developer environments. We strive to address the biggest challenges in DevOps without hindering innovation, and Delphix is a prime example of how we can achieve this,” Cassens added.

Perforce has emphasized that the two organizations are highly complementary, from their technologies and teams to their shared dedication to providing exceptional customer support.

Customers of Perforce can expect to immediately benefit from the acquisition, gaining access to enhanced capabilities within Perforce’s extensive testing portfolio, complemented by Delphix’s expertise and skilled teams worldwide.

“This is just the beginning. We are committed to exploring how Delphix can further enhance our comprehensive portfolio, with the aim of becoming the preferred partner for all enterprise DevOps needs. Delphix represents a significant step forward, with many more to come. Stay tuned for what lies ahead,” Cassens concluded.
